I have'n gotten to see how to adjust the direction of TWIKE when vibrations appear

There is someone who can make me a video explaining

Thank you very much ...

Hello socelectric,

what kind of vibration do you mean? Vibrations of the steering joystick while driving slowly (< 35 kmh) over a bad road?

In that case put your left hand on the joystick to fix it. Eventually use the (mechanic) brake, too.

Hope, this could help you a bit.

Hi socelectric,

wiggling of the steering stick at low speeds can be annoying and dangerous if you are not prepared to grab the stick with both hands or to lean your right leg against it to stop it from shaking. Unfortunately it often is a characteristic of some TWIKEs - it seems each of those vehicles does have its very own temper :roll:. But there are some simple things you can check before embarking into the adventure of doing mechanical adjustments on the steering column. First make sure the tire pressure is OK for all the wheels. I have the impression that wiggling is more prevalent with fat front tires (i.e. 16x2.75 or 16x3.00) and with tires having a flat cross-section (i.e. worn tires). Lift the front part of your TWIKE and check if the steering column bearings are loose and whether the wheel can be moved left & right smoothly. And finally check the screws of the steering column mount whether some of them are loose.

If you have some space between the front wheel and the grey plastic shield of the cabin, you can try adjusting the steering column backwards so that the wheel is as close as 5mm to the plastic. To do so, locate the two rows of four hex screws fixing the steering column to the main frame tube right below the windshield wiper motor. Gently and evenly loosen the top four screws a bit and tighten the bottom four screws. For aluminum steering column mounts tighten all 8 screws to 10.5Nm using a torque wrench; do not overtighten them, because you may easily damage the threads.

Good luck and happy twiking,

Florian + TW-415
